Covid-19 Policy

Covid-19 Policy for participation in 2023 SDSA rallies

Updated September 2023

Vaccination for Covid is not required to participate in SDSA rallies in 2023 but we  continue to monitor CDC recommendations.    Currently, Covid cases are rising in the U.S. and a new variant has appeared.  To keep you and others safe it is STRONGLY recommended that all participants follow CDC guidelines to keep themselves safe from infection, especially while on passage and far from medical support.  A new Covid shot is available for everyone and we urge you and your entire crew to get it.

Note that these requirements, and recommendations, are in place purely for crew safety while at sea and are not a reflection of policies in place at our destination countries.  According to the CDC the risk of hospitalization and death is greatly reduced among those who are fully vaccinated, especially in older individuals and those with certain risk factors.

These requirements are limited to participation in our offshore rallies, not shoreside events, and will be revisited from time to time as circumstances require.

This policy is subject to change with no notice.
