VOLUNTEER SPOTLIGHT:  ROBIN WORLEY AND TOM BARNARD, ALTHEA

Boat Name and Type: Althea, Tartan 3800

Home Port:  Branford, CT now.  It was NYC until 2 years ago

Where are you now?  Currently in Smith Cove, Castine (as of August 22) enjoying Maine and slowly making our way home after the Maritime Rally

How long have you been a volunteer for the Salty Dawgs? This is our first year!

How do you volunteer:  We were co-fleet captains for the 2025 Maritime Rally.  We helped coordinate the shore events planned for the rally and kept the fleet updated about schedules and arrangements.

Why do you volunteer for the Dawgs?  We got so much Shoreside assistance & support from the Salty Dawgs before & during the rally, it was the least we could do to help from the field! It was also nice to get to know the various Marina staff & onsite speakers arranged for by the Rally.

What are your plans for the next year?  We are very interested in doing the Maritime Rally again and may try to help coordinate a Newfoundland Rally

Other Interests?  Hiking, biking, travel, time with our 5 children & dog, volunteering for NYC as a Medicare Counselor
