VOLUNTEER SPOTLIGHT:  DOUG AND MARJORIE WEIBEL, FROLIC

Our boat is a 2014 Antares 44i catamaran and she is the second boat we have had as Salty Dawgs.  Her home port is Longmont Colorado where, of course, she has never been. We are currently in the Exumas where we have been since this year's January Jump. Our first rally with the Salty Dawgs was the Maine rally in 2019 and that is when we started volunteering. While being co-captain of the January Jump was a big role we have done a number of things in the past including contributing newsletter articles, being a net controller and assisting with lots of small tasks. The SDSA is a great organization full of great people and it is fun to help out.  We have had the pleasure of sailing from Trinidad to Newfoundland and a big part of the enjoyment for us is spending a little time with other cruisers which most often means Salty Dawgs. We don't plan much ahead but we are planning to get off the boat for the summer, buy an RV and head to Alaska. It would be fun to take the boat there but that is too much of a commitment for us!
